DHONI'S DOMINANT INNINGS : ABSOLUTE MAHIFIED

On a bright day of May 10, 2023, the match number 55 of the IPL season was played between the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the Delhi Capitals (DC) at Chennai CSK won the toss and decided to bat first, putting up a total of 167/8 on the scoreboard. Despite the efforts of Mitchell Marsh, who took three wickets, CSK managed to put up a decent score. However, the highlight of the innings was the batting of the former Indian captain, MS Dhoni.

Dhoni, who came in to bat at number six, took some time to settle in before unleashing his typical explosive style of batting. With the scorecard reading 135/6, Dhoni knew he had to up the ante and take risks. He began his innings by hitting Marsh for a boundary in the 18th over, showing that he still had the power in his arms.

With just a couple of overs left in the innings, Dhoni looked to finish things off in style. However, he was dismissed in the 20th over while trying to go for another big shot. Nevertheless, he had already made his mark on the match and the fans were thrilled to witness the Dhoni of old.

Dhoni's innings of 20 runs off just 6 balls, including 2 sixes and a boundary, not only helped CSK to put up a respectable total but also sent a strong message to his critics that he still had a lot of cricket left in him. Dhoni's batting style has always been unique, with his calm and composed approach in the beginning, and then exploding towards the end. This innings was no different, as he took his time before launching into the bowlers and scoring quick runs.
